Scaling Up With Google Cloud & Kubernetes: ShieldSquare @ Google Cloud Summit 2018

June 6, 2018 | All News & Events

If you’re into Cloud technologies and cutting-edge systems like Kubernetes, you don’t want to miss the Google Cloud Summit 2018 in Bangalore, India, on the 7th of June. Rakesh Thatha, our Co-founder & CTO, will participate in a dialog with Sreenivas Makam, Partner Engineer, Google Cloud, to talk about “Kubernetes & Istio: the efficient approach to well-managed infrastructure” from 2:05 PM – 2:40 PM.

The interactive session will delve into how Google’s Kubernetes container cluster management system helped ShieldSquare exponentially scale up to secure our growing customer base against sophisticated bot threats, while slashing the time taken to deploy production updates — with zero downtime. The discussion will also cover Istio, the new open system to securely manage networks of microservices, which helps us speed up release cycles while providing better application management to quickly recover from any failures.

With technologies such as Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Istio, ShieldSquare provides real-time bot protection to over 80K internet properties across more than 70 countries, while processing hundreds of billions of API calls every year. Building on our DevOps and Engineering expertise, we are now scaling up our core processing systems to handle over 1 trillion API calls per year. It has been an extraordinary journey of mastering the scale, and we now look forward to scaling greater heights to better serve our customers.

We look forward to seeing you at this premier Cloud symposium.
